Ziyue (Julius) Yu | Lingnan University

Short Biography

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Lingnan University working with Prof. Dian Zhang. I received my PhD in Computer Applied Technology at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU), jointly advised by Prof. Giovanni Pau from University of Bologna / University of California, Los Angeles, and Dr. Wuman Luo from MPU. My research interests are Medical AI and Interpretable Healthcare Analytics.

[June 2025] Our paper "PSformer: Periodic-aware Semantic Transformer for Traffic Prediction" has been accepted to IEEE SMC.
[December 2024] Our paper "Multi-perspective Patient Representation Learning for Disease Prediction on Electronic Health Records" has been accepted to KAIS.
[August 2024] Our paper "A Survey on Personalized Document-level Sentiment Analysis" has been accepted to Neurocomputing.
[September 2023] Our paper "MPRE: Multi-perspective Patient Representation Extractor for Disease Prediction" has been accepted to IEEE ICDM and selected as the best-ranked paper.
[December 2022] Our paper "DMNet: A Personalized Risk Assessment Framework for Elderly People with Type 2 Diabetes" has been accepted to IEEE JBHI and selected as the medical informatics cover paper.
